Monday through Friday, we slave away for someone else at our J.O.B. It’s a hilariously tragic acronym that stands for Just Over Broke.

I know with absolute certainty that there is more to life than this.

There are many people on this planet who live like slaves, but there are also many people who as kings.

The best thing about the time we live in is that which path you tread, either slave or king, is entirely up to you. Kinghood has never been more accessible, but ascending the throne takes vision and action.

After attending the Bitcoin conference, I’ve been reflecting deeply on the subject of sovereignty.

Sovereignty is the opposite of tyranny.

Living under tyranny is when someone or something else determines what you can and cannot do. There are different forms of tyranny, and one form is the tyranny of “just enough.”

Just enough to pay the bills.

Just enough to go on vacation for a couple weeks per year.

Just enough to keep you complacent.

To escape into a higher level of existence, you need a plan. I learned that leverage is the secret weapon that can catapult you into a better life. A life where money isn’t a limiting factor and you have final say over how you spend your time and live your life.

So, how can you start acquiring leverage today?

By building your personal brand.

Your power in the world today is yourself.

Your specific knowledge and life experience.

Your unique perspective and philosophy.

The best time to start was 10 years ago, but the next best time is today.

Start building.

Tactic

You should have a personal mission statement.

Take some time and reflect on what you truly value in this world.

Think about what you stand for and what hills you are willing to die on.

Meditate on all this and condense it into a couple sentences.

These are your words to live by.
