I used to embrace the “Lone Wolf” label, but now I know it only gets you so far.

It’s important to be self-sufficient and have a capacity for solitude, but there’s a richer dimension to life when you connect with the right people.

As I mentioned last week, my favorite podcaster (Robert Breedlove) gave me a ticket to the Bitcoin conference in Miami.

A bit too much to unpack in this newsletter, but I see Bitcoin as the most optimistic story in the world right now.

So, the opportunity to go to the conference and see the Bitcoin heavy-weights speak in person was a golden moment for me.

Bitcoin aside, I wouldn’t have had this amazing opportunity without the generosity of another human being.

When you act as an island, you only see to your horizon. No matter how exceptional you may be, you will always be limited by your vision and resources.

But when you start connecting to a network of other virtuous people, it generates a force multiplier that can propel you well beyond the horizon that appeared as the edge of the world.

We are far stronger together than alone.

Put good into the world, find your people, have the courage to say yes to life and watch what happens.

Tactic

A good friend of mine recently introduced a word for a tactic I have practiced for years: Inertia.

It’s a process where you listen closely to where your body wants you to go and you go with it.

Shortly after returning to the U.S. from Italy, I was settling into home when I felt the urge to go to Nashville. Although it was frankly quite random, I listened and bought a ticket and went.

That decision kicked off the chain of events that led me to meeting two of my greatest influences and attending Bitcoin Miami 2023.

It’s a mystical approach to life. Give it a shot.

This book comes out next month, and it promises to be a banger. Saifedean gave a brief overview of his next book at the Bitcoin conference and I’m fired up to read it.

Understanding economics will reveal to you many answers about why the world is the way that it is.
