Clarity Is Power

How to achieve focus

Thought

A couple months ago, I was pulled in every direction.

But if you’re moving in every direction, you wind up running in place.

You see, focus is a superpower.

The most powerful no is the right yes.

Alexander Hamilton

As far back as human history goes, if two armies met in battle, ceteris paribus, the most organized army will win 100% of the time.

Organization is order, order is clarity, clarity is power.

So, how can you achieve focus?

Let me introduce you to one of the most powerful words in existence:

No.

To get the most out of life, you must learn the mysteries of yes and no.

Yes expands, no focuses.

It slowly dawned on me that I was saying yes to too much, so I started saying no to the things that weren’t electric.

Electricity isn’t solely what powers the device you’re reading this with.

Electricity exists in the spiritual realm.

Once you discover the right yes, saying no to bullshit becomes straightforward.

You see the paradox?

Yes is also no and vice versa.

Pay attention to electricity and your path will reveal itself.

Tactic

Writing your thoughts out is a mysterious, alchemical process.

You don’t always know what you truly think on a subject until you start to write it down.

You see, to get your thoughts across in written form, they have to be organized.

Are you noticing the trend in this edition?

Writing is a forcing function towards order and clarity.

The better your writing becomes, the clearer it is.

The clearer your writing is, the more coherent your thoughts must be.

The more coherent your thoughts, the more powerful you become.

Clarity is power.

So, start writing.

Pick one thing that’s always on your mind and argue your perspective.

You’ll surprise yourself.
