Adventure Of A Lifetime

How to pursue your legend

Thought

I drove 17 hours straight last Thursday.

All the way from New Mexico to Tennessee in one shot.

It was a feat of strength. I believe you should push the limits of your endurance from time to time.

Along the way I got two speeding tickets and ate a filet mignon in Oklahoma City.

I spent the drive listening to The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

I’ve read this book 3 times now. It’s always the perfect story to engage with at the precipice of starting a new life chapter.

A major theme of the book is living your life in pursuit of fulfilling your own personal legend.

When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.

Paulo Coelho

I’ve known for some time that I needed to move in order to continue properly pursuing my personal legend. It can be daunting to make a huge life change like this. I don’t know this city or anyone in it very well. I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow.

But you see, that’s the point. I’m on an adventure. I’m dancing on the edge.

It’s where I feel truly alive.

Tactic

How did I know it was time for me to make a big change?

Intuition.

In my experience, intuition is never wrong. It’s the voice of God whispering directly to you.

Every single time I ignore its nudge, I live to regret it.

Only the bold are able to take full advantage of it because sometimes what it tells us sounds crazy or impossible.

Fortune favors the bold.

Alexander the Great

This is one of my favorite quotes of all time and words I strive to live by.

To live your life fully, it must be lived boldly.

Fortune smiles most brightly upon he who dares to go for it.
